Cr White is a local farmer and is married with three sons, three grandsons and one granddaughter. She is also involved with the Agforce State Council and the Border Highland Fresh.
Cr White was elected to Council as a Councillor in 2000 and elected as Mayor in 2004. Joan's goals as Mayor are to bring community groups together for the benefit of both towns. Increase the communication, provide information and feedback (from Council to the Community). To provide sound infrastructure of essential services and make practical decisions to develop our Shire for the future within a realistic and affordable budget.
