Cr Cox is the Owner and Manager of the Texas Newsagency, with his wife, Beryl. His favourite pastimes are reading, gardening and tennis and he is actively involved with the Texas Lions Club, Texas Visitors Association, Texas Neighbourhood Watch Program, Texas Bowls Club, Anglican Parish Council and is a
Co-ordinator for the annual Cancer Fund Doorknock Appeal.
Cr Cox was elected to Council in 2004 and his goals as Councillor is to strive for more employment opportunities for the Shire. To promote the Shire to the community, visitors and tourists, enhancing the benefits of our great lifestyle. To listen, acknowledge and address concerns and issues from the community and forward onto Council.
