Library Services

Council operates public libraries at Inglewood and Texas, with book stocks being supplied by the Public Libraries Division of the State Library of Queensland under the Country Lending Service.

The libraries offer novels, non-fiction books, large print books, picture books, children’s books, music cassettes, compact discus, DVD, magazines and videos. Hear-a-book and audio-visual kits are also available upon request.

Membership and book loans from the libraries are free to all Inglewood Shire residents. Books may be borrowed for 2 weeks, and requests for extensions can be made at the libraries.
Each library offers access to personal computers with internet available.

Libraries are open from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:45 pm Monday to Friday.
